The Chocolate Creations Classic are one of the most popular boxed pralines. They serve as gifts on various occasions (birthday, name/women’s/father’s.mothers/etc. days). There are two types of those pralines: Golden Chocolate Creations (12 flavours, without wrappers) and Chocolate Creations Classic (5 flavours, wrapped). The Classic line comprises:

Toffee (red wrapper) – caramelised sugar and milk filling covered with dark chocolate.

Nougat (green wrapper) – hazelnut and peanut filling covered with milk chocolate.

Choco (brown wrapper) – creamy cocoa filling covered with milk chocolate.

Marzipan (white wrapper) – creamy apricot kernel and almond filling covered with dark chocolate.

Advocaat (purple wrapper) – creamy egg yolk filling with alcohol covered with milk chocolate.


Makowiec

Makowiec is probably, along with sernik (cheesecake), the most popular Polish cakes. Traditionally, it’s prepared for Christmas, but since every occasion is perfect to eat some makowiec, people tend to bake it for Easter as well. The poppy filling usually contains, apart from poppyseeds, honey and dried fruit with various nuts. It can be baked with or without a bottom layer (sponge pastry, shortcrust pastry and the like), or as a yeast cake roll.


Mazurek

Mazurek is a typically Easter cake. The name may apply to any kind of pastry (most frequently shortcrust, but also sponge, puff, wafers, etc.) that is garnished in a very elaborate way, e.g. with various creams, dried fruit, nuts, chocolate. Above you can see a mazurek with kajmak (Polish name for dulce de leche) and black currant jam, and another one with marzipan and chocolate. Other variations include icing, apricot, poppy or date mass, lemon cream, or rose jam.

Marcepan is very popular in Poland. It’s used as filling in various types of cakes and buns. as well as pralines. Those most popular ones available on the Polish market are produced by Wawel, Mieszko and Solidarność. In the case of the last manufacturer we cannot actually speak of marzipan, but rather almond-flavoured persipan (as it’s made of apricot kernels). Marzipan is also very often prepared at home, especially before Christmas and Easter.

Almondo is a member of the Zakręcone Złote Praliny series from Solidarność. It’s a hill-shaped (just like all other Golden Pralines) milk chocolate praline filled with almond cream and crushed almonds.
