Marcepan is very popular in Poland. It’s used as filling in various types of cakes and buns. as well as pralines. Those most popular ones available on the Polish market are produced by Wawel, Mieszko and Solidarność. In the case of the last manufacturer we cannot actually speak of marzipan, but rather almond-flavoured persipan (as it’s made of apricot kernels). Marzipan is also very often prepared at home, especially before Christmas and Easter.
