Orzeszki drażetki are a very popular type of drops in Poland. These are peanuts covered with wafer mass and dark chocolate. They’re eaten as a snack, especially by children at schools (but also by adults who like to recollect their school-years!).

Elitesse is a flagship product of Skawa, a confectionery manufacturer founded in 1921 in Wadowice (where Pope John Paul II was born). It is a wafer with cocoa filling covered with chocolate. Its distinguishing marks are its shape – an isosceles triangle, and the transparent wrap with yellow label. It’s been produced since ca. the 1960s. Today the wafer also comes in different shapes (rectangular, finger-like), flavours (peanut, coconut, toffee) and names (Eliteski).
